HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- It was looking like Henderson County High School students wouldn’t be able to hold their annual greenhouse plant sale fundraiser, until a local business stepped up.
Sureway Grocery Store in Henderson bought all the plants to sell outside their stores. Sureway District Supervisor, Chad Hargrove told Eyewitness News he came up with the idea while working to promote social distancing. “It’s the right thing to do,” Hargrove said, “I mean, these kids need a little help.”
The plants are now on sale at three Sureway locations in Henderson.
