Local churches to host proms for people with special needs

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) Local churches are working together to host proms for people with special needs.

In Newburgh, Chic-Fil-A Crosspointe is pairing with First Christian Church of Newburgh to bring the Our Time To Shine special needs prom. Similarly in Owensboro, Life Community Church is set to host Night to Shine 2020, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.

This events are open to all individuals with special needs, high school age and older. The proms are meant to unite churches of different denominations all over the world with the common goal of celebrating people with special needs.

Over 700 churches are expected to participate in hosting the events in 2020.
