Local drug recovery program spends ‘Giving Tuesday’ volunteering in Owensboro

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Owensboro’s drug recovery program, Friends of Sinners, spent ‘Giving Tuesday’ doing volunteer work in their community.

Friends of Sinners staff and clients worked all around Owensboro on Tuesday, volunteering in various ways.

Representatives as Friends of Sinners’ clients did yardwork for the elderly, and cleaned graffiti.

The organization said other volunteers prepared sack lunches at New Life Baptist Church.

People and organizations all around the world celebrated Giving Tuesday, which is considered a global movement of generosity.

Jordan Wilson, Friends of Sinners Development Director, said, “The main goal at Friends of Sinners is to show the world Jesus. We thought the best way to do that was by serving others.”
