On Saturday, Kevin’s Backstage Bar and Grill on Main Street in downtown Evansville will host families for an event during which all net proceeds will benefit the James Bethel Gresham House and homeless veterans.

The benefit, sponsored by the JD Sheth Foundation, will last from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m., and will offer live music, a beer garden and a silent auction.

Kids can look forward to activities, as well as having fun in a bounce house.

Adult admission is $12 in advance, and $17 at the door.

Veteran’s admission is $5, and kids are free.

Formed in May 2015, the JD Sheth Foundation is a project-to-project based organization, focusing on the education, health, and well-being of adults, children and the elderly in the United States and across the globe.

Named for the first American casualty of World War I, the James Bethel Gresham House on Wedeking Avenue in Garvin Park, is being utilized to help military veterans of more recent eras. Following renovation, the historic former museum will become home base for the Echo Housing Corp Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program. It will allow 6 to 8 veterans to stay without rent for 60-90 days, letting them work and save money for a permanent housing solution.

Kevin’s Backstage Bar and Grill is located at 524 Main Street in downtown Evansville.
