EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Representatives at the local Salvation Army centers in Vanderburgh and Warrick County are asking the public to donate during an event they call ‘Giving Tuesday.’
The local Salvation Army says the needs they’re striving to address in Warrick and Vanderburg County are critical.
The organization says, during April, the number of hot meals served during the week increased to 4,000, and their Food Pantry assistance has increased to 800 families.
Representatives say that emergency financial assistance has increased to 100 families, and that the programs they offer are keeping people in their homes and giving support for basic livelihood.
