Local News

An Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation employee is fired on Monday while another remains suspended.

The school board met on Monday night and terminated the contract of Lodge Community School employee Gary Kuechenberg. Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kuechenberg two weeks ago on child molestation charges. EVSC officials say the charges are not school related.

Also, a Bosse High School employee remains suspended. School officials identified him as Kevin Hulsey but would not comment on details of its investigation. Officials said hulsey will meet with school Superintendent Dr. David Smith in the next 10 days.

Evansville Police says it investigated at Bosse High School, but it will not be treated as a criminal case.
