One of the longest running jewelry stores in the Tri-State is back open.
Kruckemeyer and Cohn held it’s grand opening under new ownership Monday afternoon. The store originally opened in 1895.
Around a hundred people joined Mayor Lloyd Winnecke in welcoming the jeweler back to the area.
New managing partner Brent Beaman says he was with the previous owners, the Levi family, for about ten years and reopening the store was a labor of love for his home town.
“What you’re going to see here is a completely new selection of merchandise. Not a single piece was left over from the old store. We’ve got everything fresh, everything’s new. Literally went to New York and picked it all out,” said Beaman.
Everything in the store was ten percent off during the celebration.
