Sue Baker has been the Henderson County Fiscal Court Clerk for 15 years.
Now, the longtime assistant has decided to retire.
A retirement party was held for Baker as the Fiscal Court building Thursday where Baker says this job has been the most rewarding and enjoyable.
Baker worked for three county judges, two who passed away during their terms. She says her retirement is bittersweet.
"I have had plans for so many years that I don't want to have any plans. I want to be able to sleep late if I feel like it, go to my grandchildren's ball games just spend time with my husband and I just want to kind of chill and relax for a while," Baker says.
Baker says the biggest thing she's taken away from the job is friends. Her advice to anyone who will work in the same position is to always look on the bright side and keep a positive attitude.
