The Madisonville Wal-Mart will close in a few days.

On June 21, the store will close at its current location, and a new Wal-Mart will open the next day behind the Vanity Fair Factory Outlet in Hanson.

Wal-Mart officials tell Eyewitness News some of the employees will be transferred to the new Wal-Mart.

Officials  didn’t give a reason for the closure – but mine subsidence forced the company to start building a new store last year.

Back in November 2015, the Wal-Mart had to evacuate due to a methane gas leak.
