MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office said an 18-year-old man faces several charges after being found driving at a high rate of speed in the parking lot of Hopkins County Central High School.

Authorities said Dakota Duncan, 18 of White Plains, is not enrolled at the school.

However, he was found driving a vehicle on the parking lot, authorities said.

According to authorities, Duncan was in possession of a ‘vape pen’ which tested positive for THC.

Authorities said he was in possession of firearms, but they do not believe he had any intent to harm anyone at the school.

Duncan was arrested and charged with reckless driving, instructional permit violations, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
