HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A man is accused of stealing over $20,000 from a Henderson resident he was working for.
Justin Boswell, 26, is charged with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000.
Boswell was working for the man between May and October, police said.
At one point, the man realized that his money was gone.
Detectives said they spoke with several witnesses who saw Boswell with envelopes where the money had been kept.
Witnesses also told police they saw Justin with thousands of dollars in cash.
Boswell allegedly told the witnesses he had a large inheritance.
Police said Boswell did not have an inheritance, and bank records showed he didn’t have any money prior to working for the Henderson man.
While working for the man, police said Boswell opened several bank accounts and placed over $7,000 in the accounts.
Police said Boswell also made a down payment on a vehicle for a woman.
Boswell is currently incarcerated in Louisville on other charges as well.
