Man arrested after chase in stolen truck


Gibson Co., IN (WEHT) A man driving a truck that was reported stolen is arrested after leading Indiana State Police on a high speed chase.

It happened Wednesday around 6 p.m.

ISP says a trooper was patrolling SR-57 near College Street in Oakland City when he spotted a white Ford F-150 matching the description of a vehicle reported stolen out of Warrick County.

When the trooper tried to pull the driver over, we’re told the driver sped off and led the trooper on a chase through the city.

Authorities say the driver, Brandon Pool, 29, eventually drove into a bean field, but got stuck when he tried to drive into a cornfield.

Pool was arrested on several charges including theft, resisting police, and reckless driving. He also had three outstanding warrants out of Lawrence County, IN.
