Man arrested after morning shots-fired call

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) A man is now facing multiple charges after shots were fired near Weinbach and Washington Monday morning.

Police say around 6 a.m., officers received a call of shots fired along the 1900 block of Washington.

EPD says six shots were fired and no one was hit.

Half an hour later, a witness told police the man who shot the gun came back to his residence. Officers were issued a warrant and went to the house.

They found a long gun and a handgun.

The man was arrested on two counts of criminal recklessness and extradition out of Georgia.
