Evansville Police respond to a report of shots fired, and arrest a man on burglary charges.

Police say they were called to the 1200 block of North Second Avenue Wednesday night around 11 p.m. A juvenile told police a man that had robbed him earlier in the month, had just entered his home with a gun, demanding money.

The juvenile said the suspect fired a gunshot at him when he told the suspect he didn’t have any money.  The juvenile says he returned fire, and the suspect drove away.

Police stopped a car driven by Kyndrick Hancock, 20, at Washington and Kentucky. We’re told a bullet fragment fell on the ground when Hancock got out of the car. Authorities also found a handgun in the vehicle.

Hancock was arrested on burglary and robbery charges. He is lodged in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
