Man arrested, charged in Warrick County shooting

ELBERFELD, Ind. (WEHT) – The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office charged a man with voluntary manslaughter, following a fatal shooting on Nobles Chapel Rd. on Sunday.

The sheriff’s office said they received a call about a shooting just after 11 p.m. from a man identifying himself as the shooter.

Authorities said 35-year-old David Dunn of Petersburg was taken into custody on a charge of voluntary manslaughter.

The sheriff’s office identified the victim as 39-year-old Joshua Nolan of Winslow.

Nolan had a single gunshot wound to the head, authorities said.

According to authorities, the incident started as a verbal argument and then escalated into a shooting.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
