Man Arrested for Receiving Drugs in the Mail

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office arrest  a man for allegedly dealing drugs through the mail.

The Joint Drug Task Force began investigating Christopher Darnell, 40, after the United States Postal Inspection  Service alerted them to a suspicious package addressed to Darnell

The packages were addressed to a home on Chateau Drive near the Lawndale area. Authorities intercepted one of the packages and found more than 550 grams of marijuana, more than 215 grams of THC infused wax candy, and four syringes with more than 25 grams of liquid  THC.

Authorities searched Darnell’s home and say they found nearly 200 grams of marijuana, prescription narcotics, syringes containing THC oil, cookies containing THC, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, two semi-automatic guns and $4,122 in cash.

Darnell was arrested on several drug-related charges. He was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
