Man faces firearm and drug charges, after being found unconscious in a truck

CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (WEHT) – The Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office said a man was found unconscious in a truck on the property of a mine with multiple firearms and drugs in his possession.

James Hayes, 43, was found in a truck at Kenamerican Resources on September 18, authorities said.

Investigators said the firearms were stolen.

Hayes is charged with receiving stolen property, trafficking a controlled substance, promoting contraband, possession of a controlled substance, meth possession, possession of radio that receives police messages, criminal trespassing, and drug paraphernalia possession.

Hayes was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
