Man found guilty of manslaughter in connection with 2018 fight

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Benjamin Lindsey was found guilty of manslaughter in connection with the March 2018 death of Jose Chavez.

Lindsey was sentenced to five years on Friday.

Police said Lindsey and Chavez got into a fight, which resulted in several injuries for Chavez.

After the fight, police said Lindsey dropped Chavez off at a house on Wandering Lane. Eventually, police responded to the house and Chavez was taken to the hospital.

Chavez died several days later from blunt force trauma, according to the coroner.
