The Huntingburg man involved in Tuesday’s officer-involved shooting is now listed in stable condition.
The three officers involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave.
On Wednesday, police released the names of those involved in the Huntingburg shooting in the parking lot next to league stadium.
Zachary Tyler Peek, 27, of Huntingburg was identified by police as the man who was shot.
Peek contacted Huntingburg Police through social media asking to meet at the stadium.
Huntingburg Police Officers Tyler Stivers, Tim Mullens, and Christian Gogel repsonded to the scene.
The officers saw Peek standing in the parking lot with what appeared to be a handgun.
After multiple commands to lower the gun, Peek pointed the weapon at Stivers.
Stivers and Gogel shot Peek multiple times.
Peek was taken to St. Mary’s where he was listed in critical condition until that status was later changed to stable.
