OPD: Man passes away due to injuries sustained during Owensboro house fire

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – A man injured during a fire in Owensboro on Friday passed away on Sunday, according to the Owensboro Police Department.

David Lashbrook, 77, died due to injuries sustained during the fire.

Detectives are still investigating the fire, which happened in the 3900 block of Kipling Dr.

Two people, including Lashbrook, were sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
