Man Sentenced in Beating Case

The man Evansville Police say was involved in the beating of a man to obtain a false confession is sentenced to 12 months in prison.

EPD says James Wilson, Jr. was one of three people charged in connection with the beating of a man to get him to falsely confess to being involved in the disappearance of Aleah Beckerle. She’s been missing since July.

Wilson pleaded guilty to battery charges back in November.

Debra Wollner and Donna Robertson are also charged in the case. Wollner’s trial is set for February, Robertson’s trial will be in March.
