HUNTINGBURG, Ind. (WEHT) – A man convicted of stabbing and killing a woman in Dubois County has been sentenced to 91 years in prison.

27-year-old Kyle Schneider has been sentenced to 65 years for Murder, 20 years for being a Habitual Offender, and 6 years for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. All of the sentences are scheduled to run consecutively, meaning Schneider is scheduled to spend 91 years for the crime.

Schneider was found guilty on May 20 for killing 23-year-old Chloe Lubbehusen

Authorities said the incident happened at a home in the St. Anthony area on County Road 650E in January.

Deputies said Lubbehusen was found bleeding from the face.

She later died at a hospital from her injuries.

Deputies said a bloody knife was found in the living room.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Schneider was found naked in a garage with blood on his hands.

After being put into a police car, authorities said Schneider asked a deputy if he’d ever killed anybody. When the deputy said, ‘no,’ Schneider said, “This would be my first,” according to authorities.

The affidavit said Schneider admitted to stabbing Lubbehusen multiple times, but he did not give an explanation for his actions.
