Mayor of Boonville gives update on coronavirus

BOONVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Boonville city officials are trying to quell some of the fear surrounding the coronavirus.

Mayor Charlie Wyatt said police and fire departments are restricting visitors.

City officials are urging people to use the dropbox by the front door of City Hall to pay their bills and use the drive-through window to drop off payments.

“My first words to the citizens of Boonville: Don’t panic. Be calm. We will come through this crisis and get back to our lives as we have known them to be,” said Mayor Wyatt.

He said they plan to keep Boonville City Hall open as long as they have healthy employees.
