KNOX COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a community event in Oaktown to help residents with new traffic patterns created once the median U-turns are complete on U.S. 41.

On July 31st, INDOT will be on hand at Oaktown Community Building to answer questions and explain how the new configuration of the intersections at U.S. 41/Freelandville Road and U.S. 41/Old U.S. 41 will change current traffic patterns.

There will be a large floor map of the new configuration to show to residents.

Work began on the median U-turns in late June. Its projected completion date is scheduled for mid to late August, pending inclement weather.
