Methodist Health has a new CEO

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The former president of Deaconess Hospital is the new CEO of Methodist Hospital.

The Board of Directors of Methodist Health has appointed Linda White as the new CEO of Methodist Health, effective October 1, 2019.

The current President and CEO, Benny Nolen, will serve as both Assistant CEO at Methodist Health and CEO of Methodist Health Union County.

White began her career as a nurse management analyst at Deaconess.She was promoted in 1982 to be the director of medical/surgical nursing.

In 1985, White joined the senior administrative staff, where she served as vice president of nursing, chief operating officer, president of Deaconess Hospital, and then President and CEO of Deaconess Health System.

White retired from her role in July 2017 and became the Executive Director of the Deaconess Foundation.

Her appointment comes a year after Deaconess and Methodist Health affiliation was announced.

Deaconess Heart Group recently opened a 30,000-square-foot office space on the first floor of Methodist Health’s South Tower.
