Daviess County native and Miss Kentucky 2018, Katie Bouchard, is heading to the Miss America competition with a new job.
Bouchard will serve as the official spokesperson for Kentucky Proud, as part of a decades-long partnership between the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) and the Miss Kentucky Organization.
“Congratulations to Katie Bouchard on winning the Miss Kentucky competition earlier this year,” Commissioner Quarles said. “All of us at the Kentucky Department of Agriculture wish you well in the national competition and look forward to working with you over the next year.”
Bouchard was crowned Miss Kentucky 2018 on June 30.
She’s the daughter of Michael and Amy Bouchard and a graduate of Western Kentucky University.
“I am so honored to serve as the official spokesperson for the Kentucky Proud marketing program,” said Bouchard. “I am excited to travel the state educating Kentuckians of all ages about the importance of agriculture in their everyday lives.”
Bouchard will visit schools throughout the state as an ambassador for the KDA and Kentucky Proud, the state’s official agricultural marketing program.
