More than a dozen students at Cedar Hall are going to Disney World

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Each year Cops Connecting with Kids rewards good behavior and grades and gives hope to local kids with a surprise trip to Disney World.

EPD went to Cedar Hall and Evans Elementary Schools to announce which kids have been chosen for the trip.

16 students from Cedar Hall were chosen to go on the trip next spring.

Eyewitness News was there to catch the smiling faces of the kids chosen to go to Disney World.

But… there’s a catch.

The kids have to agree to do well in school and stay out of trouble to qualify for the spring trip.

Police say this is also a way for officers to make friends with the kids, so they won’t grow up in fear of the police.

Last month, EPD went to Glennwood Leadership Academy to announce which students were going to Disney with police.
