Mount Carmel is hiring full-time firefighter

MOUNT CARMEL, Il. (WEHT) – The Mount Carmel Fire Department is looking for community-minded individuals interested in becoming a full-time firefighter.

The city’s Fire and Police Commission is compiling a current eligibility list for the position.

Firefighters are required to reside in Mount Carmel city limits within six months from the hiring date.

Applicants must be US citizens, have a current driver’s license, a high school diploma or G.E.D., and at least 21-years-old on the day of testing (but under 35).

The packet must be returned to City Hall or if returned by mail postmarked on or before May 31, 2019, in order to continue testing.
