MOUNT CARMEL, Ill. (WEHT) – The Wabash County Coroner’s office identified the victim of a stabbing as 41-year-old Jennifer Phelps.
Police said Phelps, of Mt. Carmel, was stabbed Wednesday morning in Wabash County.

Ruben A. Corzine is charged with murder and is being held on a $5 million bond in connection with the incident.
Corzine was reportedly Phelps’ fiance, police said.
Corzine will next appear in court on February 10 at 1 p.m.

MOUNT CARMEL, Ill. (WEHT) — A Mount Carmel man has been arrested and charged in a deadly stabbing investigation.
Police were called to the 900 block of N. Cherry Street after 8:30 Wednesday morning, where police say they found a woman’s body.
Officers arrested 32-year-old Ruben Corzine at the scene.
Corzine is being held without bond.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
