MOUNT VERNON, Ind. (WEHT) – The City of Mount Vernon is renovating Main Street from Water to Sixth St. and that means detours.

Mount Vernon Mayor Bill Curtis called Eyewitness News to make sure everyone is aware of what to expect come Monday morning.

Northbound Main St. will be closed north of Highway 62.

Traffic will detour to Mill St., then lower New Harmony Rd. and Grant St. before heading east back to Main.

There’s no word on how long this detour will be in effect.
