Mt. Vernon man sentenced to prison for dealing drugs in Posey County


POSEY COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT)- Macer Ours, 22, appeared in the Posey Circuit Court after pleading guilty to dealing methamphetamine. A judge sentenced Ours to eight years in prison on Friday.

According to a press release, as part of Ours guilty plea, he admitted to selling methamphetamine to an undercover police informant in Posey County in February of 2019.

On April 26, 2019, the Posey County Drug Task Force, along with the Posey County Sheriff’s Office, Mt. Vernon Police Department, Indiana State Police.

Other law enforcement officials from local, state and federal agencies, executed arrest warrants stemming from an undercover drug investigation called “Operation Guillotine.”

On the day of the raid, Ours was unable to be located and his arrest warrant remained outstanding. Ours was arrested in Roane County, Tennessee, and later transported to the Posey County Jail in September of 2019.

He will be transported to the Indiana Department of Correction to serve his sentence.
