Business owner offers reward after 3 golf carts were reported stolen


Mt. Vernon, Ind. (WEHT) — Mt. Vernon police are looking for a suspect after several golf carts were stolen from an area business.

Police say several golf carts were reported stolen from Carts, Parts and More in Mount Vernon January 23rd.

Security cameras were able to captured several images showing a that truck is believed to be a newer body style red ford with dual rear wheels.

Carts, Part, and More co-owner DeeAnn Goldman Jones tells Eyewitness News the business is offering a $2,000 reward for anyone with information that could lead to an arrest.

Jones said the golf carts are worth $12,000.

The trailer has the numbers “31” written on it.

Police say three golf carts were stolen of the CLUB CAR brand.

The department posted a description of the carts on Facebook.

• 2000 Club Car DS 48V Power drive electric golf cart, black with a beige canopy, white seats, “NEW HARMONY” town sticker on front plastic
• 2010 Club Car DS Gas golf cart, beige, diamond plate cargo box, “28” decal on cart side
• 2007 Club Car Precedent Gas golf cart, beige
