Local News

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) –  The Muhlenberg County coronavirus task force met Thursday.

The health department says even though five new COVID-19 cases were identified Tuesday, people should not be alarmed- just use caution before leaving home.

Health officials want people to stay inside as much as possible and follow CDC guidelines when it comes to social distancing and hygiene.

“I feel like Muhlenberg County is doing an exceptional job remaining as isolated as possible, and we feel like that’s going to be the key to our success long term,” county judge executive Curtis McGehee said.

County health director Cathy Bethel says three of the total seven cases in the county are connected to one other case.
