HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A Muhlenberg County woman is behind bars following a large-scale drug investigation.

54-year-old Angela Jones is charged with two counts of trafficking meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives with the Madisonville-Hopkins County Vice/Narcotics Unit and Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement/Special Investigators located and arrested Jones (aka: Anton Angie), stemming from a Hopkins County investigation.

Authorities say Jones is at the center of a large-scale drug trafficking investigation.

Detectives received anonymous complaints and information from confidential sources.

They say they’ve received information over several years and have been actively investigating those complaints.

Jones was arrested at her home on State Route 70 in Bremen.

Detectives had previously seized a large amount of crystal meth and cash from Jones earlier in the investigation.

During the execution of the warrant, detectives say they discovered a large amount of suspected crystal meth inside her home and they took her vehicle.

Jones is being held in the Muhlenberg County Jail.

This is an ongoing investigation.
