MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – The Muhlenberg County Humane Society says Saturday they found nine dogs, and two have been shot on Rockport Paradise Road. That’s according to a Facebook post.

We’re told six of the dogs are puppies and a female husky was found fatally shot in the head. A female German Shepard was shot in the back left leg. They say one of the dogs was near death due to starvation.

Employees with the Muhlenberg County Humane Society believe the dog that was shot in the head was the mother of the puppies.

The Muhlenberg County Humane Society is asking anyone with information to contact Deputy Alex Piper at 270-338-2000.

We’re told both adult dogs will need extensive medical treatment.
