EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — A murder charge has been dropped against one of the men involved in a deadly robbery in Evansville.
Jalil Fellows was charged with murder, but as part of a plea deal the murder charge and two counts of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury charges have been dropped.
Fellows was sentenced to five years in prison, with 205 days of credit.
Fellows is accused of setting up a drug deal outside of Rick’s Sports Bar on South Green River Road in 2017.
Police say Earl Martin met with Brandon Waldrop and Christopher Hoefling.
EPD says Martin got into the car, shot Waldrop in the neck, pulled him out of the car, then drove away with Hoefling. That stolen car was found with Hoefling dead inside.
The Vanderburgh County Coroner said Hoefling was shot multiple times.
In February, Martin was sentenced to 135 years in prison for his role in the deadly robbery.
