Music Festival Being Held for Mesker Amphitheatre

Local News

A music festival this Saturday at Mesker Park is a community effort to raise awareness and funds to restore the Mesker Amphitheatre.

It’s a full day of music set to take place from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.

More than 50 bands are expected to play throughout the day.

Food trucks will be on site, along with local art.

It’s $5 to attend.

Festival organizer Mikey Armanno says, “It’s a historical part of our city. You know, the same thing happened when Roberts Stadium came down and people were upset about it because it was ingrained in our culture. And I don’t want to see the same thing happen to our amphitheatre.

Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke announced there will be a series of public listening sessions on the future of the amphitheatre.

Those meetings will take place June 20-22 at Mesker Shelter three.
