Sunday was a holiday some may not even know exists.
The first Sunday in August is National Children’s Day.
Even though its not an official holiday, kids all over celebrated this special day.
At the Children’s Museum of Evansville kids are the future, but museum officials hoped to remind them of the past.
Kids learned about the history of Evansville, where they came from, and even learned a little about science as well.
Kali Klinger, of Children’s Museum of Evansville said “I think it’s great to celebrate kids. Kids are probably the most interesting age group of people on this planet.”
Most of the kids at the event Sunday were enjoying their last few days of summer. EVSC goes back to school on Wednesday.
