Neighbors complain about trash outside one Evansville home

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Residents in one Evansville neighborhood are complaining of trash piling up outside one home.

It’s located in the 2600 of North Kentucky Avenue.

There’s an old refrigerator, tires and other things outside this home.

Right by the sidewalk, there’s a notice of a violation flag issued by city inspectors late last month.

Neighbors and relatives of others who live in the area say the trash piling up outside the house has become a nuisance.

We spoke with relatives of the woman who owns the home. They say the person who owns it is in jail and the stuff outside used to belong to someone who rented the home and the people who cleaned the house out just left it there.

The family says it does not have the money to remove all trash.

We reached out to other neighbors and to Evansville Building Inspectors, but we were unable to reach them.

The violation tag in the yard says the homeowner has 10 days to clean up the trash, but the inspection was done on September 20th.
