On Thursday, a crash in the 5000 block of Highway 283 sent five members of a family to the hospital, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office said.
The single-vehicle crash happened after the family's car crashed into a ditch.
One of the children in the car was possibly unresponsive and not breathing while authorities were arriving to the scene, according to dispatch.
That child was life-flighted to St. Mary's for treatment.
Two adults, Deland and Gena Hager, and two other children were sent to Henderson Methodist Hopsital at the time of the crash.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
