A new law this year in Illinois will provide more information for those struggling with opioid addiction.

The legislation requires the state to provide treatment providers with all available options to give their patients.

Health experts say this law will help provide addicts with the information they need to cut their habits.

Another law will require drug courts to allow patients who are receiving medication to continue taking it if prescribed by a doctor.
