Newburgh announces clean up procedures & waived fees following tornado aftermath

 NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) – The Town of Newburgh announced building permits fees would be waived for residents who suffered damage in Saturday’s tornado. Permits will still need to be applied for before any work can start on a property. Plus, Newburgh is working to deal with debris on a large scale. The town is asking for residents to follow conditions for tree limb removal. Tree limbs must not be over 3″ in diameter and bundled in lengths not to exceed four feet or over thirty pounds. Duct tape, rope, and anything else can be used to bundle the limbs. Tree limbs will be picked up by Advanced Disposal’s weekly pickup.

Yard waste can be taken to the county landfill, and Brewer Farms is taking branches and trees.
