Newburgh declares state of emergency after storms

NEWBURGH, Ind (WEHT) After severe storms and a possible storm went through Newburgh Saturday night, the city has declared a state of emergency.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Todd Ringle has been actively updating the community on Twitter throughout the evening.

You are asked to not try and drive to Newburgh to view the damage. The area is very dark, and you might not see a tree or powerline on the road until you’re right on it.
