A Newburgh house is damaged following a fire Wednesday.
The fire happened at a home in Newburgh on Wednesday around 2:45 p.m.
Ohio Township Fire Department assisted Newburgh Volunteer Fire Department on the house fire.
When firefighters arrived, they went inside the home, where they found heavy smoke and some flames.
Crews went into the kitchen area, which they call “the seat of the fire” to put out flames.
Firefighters opened up the roof to provide ventilation and visibility for the crew inside.
According to the Ohio Township Fire Departments Facebook page, thanks to the quick action of both fire departments there was limited damage to the rest of the home.
No one was injured in the fire. It’s unclear what started the fire, but it remains under investigation.
