VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – A Newburgh man is accused of domestic battery and neglect after authorities say he attacked a woman in front of her children.

Our media partner, the Courier and Press, says the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Tristen Giolitto Sunday in northern Vanderburgh County.

The sheriff’s office says the situation escalated over not going to boo at the zoo.

The woman told authorities Giolitto attacked her and slammed one of the two young children still strapped into a car seat into a vehicle.

The children were okay.

Giolitto faces neglect of a dependent and several domestic battery charges.
