Newburgh postpones fireworks show

Local News

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) – Historic Newburgh, Inc. announced on Monday that its fireworks show is being postponed until Labor Day weekend on Saturday, August 31.

Historic Newburgh said on Facebook that the level of the Ohio River is too high for the fireworks company to be permitted to shoot the fireworks.

While the river level is going down, Historic Newburgh said two to four feet of mud on the boat ramp can’t be safely cleared.
