HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)-Elementary students in Owensboro planted a seed for the future.
Kindergarten students at Newton Parrish Elementary planted a tree at the school this afternoon.
They took turns pouring dirt into the hole.
The idea is that when they return to the school after they graduate, they can take a photo of the tree to see how much it has grown.
