OAKLAND CITY, Ind. (WEHT) – Oakland City University officials cut the ribbon for a new center of student housing and retail space.

In just a few days students will start moving into their new rooms.

The new building allows Oakland City University to provide modern housing for current and future students.

This multi-million-dollar project was an effort made possible by several partnerships that played a vital role in the development of the new facility.

“We will be moving students in on next Saturday. So, most of the rooms are all done and pretty much what you see undone is outside. So, the rooms are completed, they’re going to be ready by Saturday and we’ll have 92 students moving in.”

President Dempsey hopes this state-of-the-art facility will also attract new students.
