Officer-involved shooting in Evansville

(WEHT)- Evansville Police say they say shot a man who reportedly called police from an apartment on the 2600 block of Pollack Ave. around 1:30 AM Saturday morning saying he had just shot someone and was about to shoot someone else.

Police say that when they arrived, they found a man holding a knife in both hands. According to police, they told the man to drop the knives and when he refused, officers opened fire on him.

The apartment was searched for any shooting victims but none were found. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
