OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – An Ohio County man is facing assault and kidnapping charges after authorities say he assaulted a woman.
Ramero Perez-Lopez, 30, is charged with assault, kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, and criminal mischief.
This incident happened in May 2018.
According to court documents, Lopez hid in the back of a van, then while the woman was driving he allegedly held a knife against their throat.
Lopez told the woman to drive to Oldham Park where he is accused of assaulting her by punching her in the face and damaging her van.
The victim was honking and screaming for help, according to court documents. The suspect got out of the van and took off.
Authorities say the victim had marks on her neck from the knife and red marks on her neck and face.
Perez-Lopez was arrested on July 7th on the above charges.
He’s being held on a $250,000 bond in the Ohio County Jail.
Perez-Lopez is also facing several sex charges, including rape, sex abuse of a child, sex abuse, and unlawful transaction with a minor.
